We started from scratch and designed every part of the Rover from the ground up.  The Rover is the smallest bike in our lineup to have a multi-speed drive-train.  Similar to it’s older sibling the Reyes, we designed the Rover to be compatible with all types of riding.  This means that the base model is well equipped to handle almost all situations, but with a few available upgrade options, the Rover could also be considered an Ultimate Mountain Bike!  

The Rover’s geometry is designed using our “Ride Right Geometry” with a low center of gravity making it easy to control, our child proportional sized saddle, grips, and pedals are designed to keep bums, hands and feet in place. Additionally, the super lightweight frame, our very own crank-set design, and trusty Kenda tires all play crucial parts in making the Rover fit just right and provide confidence in your child’s life long passion of riding a bicycle. 

Our of the box the Rover consists of an all-aluminum 6061 frame and fork to make the bike strong and light.  Alex tubeless ready rims (more on this below) and Kenda Small Block 8 tires to make the bike feel light and stable.  Shimano’s 8 speed Rapidfire shifter makes shifting easy, fun and reliable. Stopping is on-point with Tektro mechanical disc brakes and child proportioned levers that are smooth and provide lots of modulation for controlled stopping in any situation.  Lock-on grips ensure smaller hands will be where they need to be when controlling the bike or grabbing the brake.

We also added some cool features that make upgrading simple if your child finds themselves on trails more often than pavement. Our geometry is suspension corrected which means adding the optional suspension fork will not compromise the Ride Right Geometry that the Reyes is born with.  The optional RST Capa suspension fork for the Rover offers 30mm of travel to smooth out bumps while providing more control on the trail. We install the suspension for you and include the original ridged fork with your bike, just in case you want to switch it back at a later date. If you find your little one is ready for suspension after you purchased your Rover and you would like to purchase a suspension fork later just shoot us an email and depending on inventory we can get one out to you, info@pellobikes.com.

Alex Tubeless* ready rims are a standard feature on the Rover.  This means you can convert your wheels to tubeless*, offering more traction and puncture resistance in almost any situation.

In short we designed the Rover out of the box as a great bike, but if your child is feeling a little more gnarly,  upgrade to an ultimate trail shredding machine!!

**Each bike comes with a bell, spare tube, spare derailleur hanger, quick release seat collar, 5&6mm allen keys, presta valve adapter, owner’s manual, stickers, pre-ship checklist (our way of checking each bike before it leaves our shop to ensure everything is good to go)

• Bikes arrive at your door 95% assembled (unpack and assemble front wheel, handlebar, pedals and saddle)

• Shipping (Normally 1-3 days from placing your order, all bikes are shipped either FedEx or UPS ground from our Richmond, VA location)

• Once your bike is ready for shipment you will receive an email with tracking number so you can follow it as it makes it’s way home

*Pink. It may be hard to tell from the pictures but our Pink is on the lighter side of Pink…some folks have described it as Coral.

*If you plan on making your wheels tubless please note that our rims are shipped with a tube and must be converted to tubless. If you are not comfortable converting them to tubless please ask a qualified bike mechanic to help you. The small block 8 tires are not tubless ready.

**If you purchase a suspension fork with your bike we will install it for you before it ships unless you ask us not to. We will also include your original ridged fork with your bike shipment just in case you want to convert your Rover back to ridged in the future.
